Mike Holmes is going back to his roots rescuing homeowners from unscrupulous contractors, unhealthy homes and D.I.Y. projects gone wrong. It’s a family affair as his daughter Sherry and son Michael, who share his passion for making it right for deserving families, are right by his side. Over 12 episodes, the Holmes’ will take on five houses, and turn them into homes again.
01 Families Helping Families
40mMike is going back to his roots and helping families, along with his kids, Michael and Sherry. At a home they dub The City Barn, they plan to fix the weathered roof and make the property more accessible for a 13-year-old who is battling cancer. When the reno is delayed because of structural issues, the Holmes team begins a second job at The Flood House and uncovers how a little leak turned into a nightmare for the homeowners.

40mStructural issues at their two clients' houses means Mike and Michael must split up and tackle the jobs separately. Michael takes on the roof and other problems at The City Barn, while Mike uncovers unsettling complications when taking down a load-bearing wall at The Flood House. Later, Sherry meets with two apprentices to add to the crew.
